Mercy

Mercy is a hardworking farmer from Kenya, dedicated to supporting her husband, their three children, and other family members who rely on them. Together with her spouse, who is also a farmer, she strives to provide stability through farming, ensuring her children have access to education and essential needs. Her determination to build a better future keeps her committed to growing her agricultural business.

Mercy runs both crop and dairy farming, a venture she loves for its flexibility and steady profits. She is seeking support to purchase seeds and fertiliser and to increase the acres under cultivation. Her biggest challenges are limited capital and changing weather conditions, which affect productivity. With the support, she plans to boost yields, strengthen her dairy enterprise, and reinvest profits to sustainably expand her business.

She supports her community by hiring casual workers for planting, harvesting, and daily farm activities. Having successfully repaid previous loans from ECLOF Kenya Limited, Kiva’s field partner, she hopes this support will enable her to further expand her farm and secure her children’s education.
