Tâm's story
Tâm is 37 years old and a mother of three. After her divorce, she now lives with her two younger children, while her oldest child lives with their father. As an ethnic minority family living in a small house in a remote mountainous area of Thanh Hoa province, life has not been easy for Tâm and her children. Her main sources of income come from raising livestock and working as a spa staff member. However, the income is unstable and only enough to cover basic daily expenses.
She hopes to expand her small livestock business by purchasing three cows, raising them for about a year, and then selling them to local traders. This plan is suitable for the rural mountainous environment where she lives, but she currently lacks the capital to get started. Therefore, Tâm is applying for her first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to buy the cows and begin building a more stable and sustainable livelihood.
Looking ahead, Tâm hopes for good health, steady income, and a brighter future for her children — a future where they can grow up with more opportunities than she had.
