A loan of $1,900 helps to purchase more seafood for sale.

Anh's story

Mrs. Anh, 36, lives with her husband and their four school-aged children in a coastal area of Thanh Hoa Province.

Like most men in the village, her husband works at sea, joining local fishermen on long and often unpredictable fishing trips. To support the family, Mrs. Anh runs a small seafood business, buying fresh fish and shellfish from fishermen and selling them at the local market. Her income is a little over $300 per month, which is hardly enough for a family of six, especially with all four children in school.

Despite the challenges, Mrs. Anh works tirelessly every day, waking up early to meet the returning boats and secure the freshest products for her customers.

To do so, she hopes to purchase more fish and shellfish, expanding her inventory to serve more customers. She is requesting her seventh loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to support this plan. With additional capital, she believes she can increase her daily sales, improve her family’s livelihood, and create a better future for her children.
