A loan of $1,900 helps to purchase a larger quantity of net materials to make fishing nets for sale.

Thảo's story
Mrs. Thảo, 68, lives with her husband in a small coastal village in Thanh Hoa Province. With their children now grown and living independently, the couple depends entirely on their long-practiced skill of weaving fishing nets. Every day, they carefully knot each line of rope to create strong, reliable nets for the local fishermen. It is honest work, but the income they earn is very limited, just enough to get by.
Despite her age, Mrs. Thảo continues to work diligently, hoping to maintain a stable livelihood and ease some of the financial pressure on her family. However, the cost of materials such as netting, sinkers, and ropes has increased over time, making it difficult for her to produce enough nets to meet local demand.
To improve her situation, she hopes to purchase a larger quantity of net materials and sinkers so she can expand production and supply more fishermen in her community. Mrs. Thảo is now requesting her first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to support this plan.
