Nhung's story
Mrs. Nhung is 40 years old, married, and the mother of three school-aged children. Her family lives in a coastal community in Thanh Hoa province. While her husband works in offshore fishing, she stays home to care for their children and runs a small seafood business. She buys fresh seafood directly from local fishermen, then dries or grills it before selling. Her monthly income is around 300 USD, but it is unstable and heavily influenced by the weather, making life challenging for the family.
To strengthen her business, Mrs. Nhung hopes to purchase a larger supply of fish and shrimp to process and sell. She is requesting her tenth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to expand her inventory, increase her earnings, and bring more stability to her household.
Looking ahead, she dreams of building a steady income so she can invest in her children’s education and improve her family’s overall quality of life.
