Ánh's story
Ánh is 28 years old, married, and the mother of three young children. Her family lives in a coastal area of Thanh Hoa Province, where income opportunities are closely tied to the sea. Her husband works as a manual laborer, while she buys and sells seafood to support the household. Together, their earnings are just enough to cover daily expenses.
Each day, Ánh purchases fish and shrimp from local fishermen and transports it by motorbike to the nearby market, where she resells it to customers. Her small business brings in just over 250 USD per month, but her income is heavily dependent on weather conditions. To expand her business, Ánh hopes to purchase more seafood so she can serve more customers and increase her earnings. She is therefore requesting her third loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to buy additional fish and shrimp to sell at the market.
With this loan, Ánh believes her business will become more stable and profitable, helping her provide a better life for her three children.
