Hasifa
A loan of $1,000 helps to buy more clothes for sewing.

Hasifa's story
Hasifa is 57 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Kiyinda region of Uganda. She is married and has no children. For the past 20 years, Hasifa has been working hard to manage her tailoring business, which tailors clothes.
To help expand her business, Hasifa has requested a loan of 3,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more clothes for sewing, and will help Hasifa to generate greater profits and to be able to expand her business into a training center
Hasifa hopes that in the future she will be able to construct rental units. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program which primarily serves small-group members like her, who do not have collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
