Marta Guadalupe
A loan of $1,000 helps to buy corn and firewood wholesale, to be able to maintain and improve her tortilla production.

Marta Guadalupe's story
Marta is single and has two daughters, ages 8 and 4 years. Both are her dependents. The father of her daughters and a brother live abroad and help her financially. She lives in a family home with her daughters and her mother.
Marta's business is making tortillas to sell. She began one year ago. Her mother taught her the skill when she was a girl. She works Monday to Saturday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Marta is requesting a loan to invest in strengthening her business. She will buy corn and firewood wholesale. With these supplies, she will be able to maintain and improve her tortilla production. In this way, she hopes to better meet customer demand and increase her sales and profits. The risk of the investment would be if she had health problems and had to stop working.
Her aspirations are to make her business grow and to have economic stability, to offer her daughters the opportunity to attend university, and to have a house of her own.
