Margaret
A loan of $850 helps to buy poultry feed to improve productivity, and add cereal stock to meet customer demand.

Margaret's story
Margaret is a single mother of two grown-up children. She supports both her children and grandchildren. She runs a business selling cereals and also engages in crop and poultry farming. Her business supplies eggs and cereals at affordable prices to residents. She has employed one person who assists her with running the business and farming activities. She buys cereals and other products from local wholesalers and also seeks veterinary products for her poultry, as well as fertilisers. She enjoys the work because it provides her with a daily income and keeps her active.
Margret’s main challenge has been inadequate capital, which limits how much cereals and poultry feed she can purchase. The funds will therefore be used to buy additional cereal stock, and the remaining amount to buy poultry feed. This will enable her to expand her farming activities and increase overall production.
The profits earned will be used to support her family and cover household and farming expenses. Her dream is to expand her farming and cereals business and grow it into a wholesale operation, and employ more people from her community. She also hopes to support her grandchildren’s education and help them achieve a better future.
