Evelyn Maricela
A loan of $1,000 helps to buy merchandise.

Evelyn Maricela's story
This is Maricela. She is 40 years old and is in a common-law marriage with her partner, the father of her children, who go to school close to the family home. She is a friendly, extroverted and hard-working person who, together with her partner, has always worked hard to provide for their family. She decided to start up a business selling clothing as a way to make a living. This work also allows her to carry out her other activities as a housewife and a mother, meaning she can effectively carry out all her roles. Maricela has had this business for 6 years, and therefore she has regular customers who always buy her clothing by means of copayment. In this way she can guarantee her customer's loyalty. Her customers remain happy as she also offers them seasonal promotions and gifts. Maricela is requesting a loan in order to buy more merchandise for her business which in the future she would like to see grow until she can set up a shop in the city centre. This will help her to obtain better returns, which will allow her to finish her higher education, as she would like to be a successful professional in her city.
