Mujeres Con Vision 3 & 4 Group
In this Group: Zoraida, Juana, Altagracia, Abraham, Geraldina, Yackaira, Rosa, Ramon, Oliva, Mercedes
Zoraida is the coordinator of her group, Mujeres con Vision 3 & 4 (Women with Vision). Her story is not unlike others in her group and of Esperanza's Haitian and Dominican community, many of whom recently emigrated to the Dominican Republic from Haiti.

Zoraida's group is located in Puerto Plata, a city on the north coast. She makes her home here in a simple setting, with two of her three children and her long term partner, also their father. She said to us that her most difficult challenge is that she has a very rebellious child, and she need to deal with this. Everyday she pray to the Lord for him. In the meantime she enjoys to cook.

Zoraida is excited to be taking her first loan with Esperanza. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business selling silver jewelry and clothes. She will use the profits to re-invest in her business. She thanks you all for your support.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
