Zahra is married. Her husband has four buffaloes at his home. He sells their milk to customers in the community and to milk shops. Zahra is a housewife who stays at home and carries out her household duties. But in her spare time, she also helps her husband to take care of the buffalo. Zahra is a mother of three sons and two daughters. All of them are enrolled in a local school and getting an education.
Zahra has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, to help her husband to improve his business. With the loan, he will buy another buffalo, which will allow him to get more milk and sell in larger quantities. This will provide a better income. He has been operating this business for the past 15 years and Zahra hopes that an investment will bring better profits to him and help her family to have a better standard of living.
