Luis Leoncio
A loan of $2,000 helps to buy plantains, boxes of apples, tomatoes, and oranges to sell. He will also invest in fruit display stands, shelving, crates, and other supplies to gradually equip his shop.

Luis Leoncio's story
Leoncio, 70 years old, is a senior with a youthful spirit who lives with his wife in the house they bought a few years after getting married. They no longer have dependent children, so Leoncio now works to support and look out for himself and his wife. He also occasionally helps his grandchildren when he can.
Leoncio and his wife have worked selling fruits and vegetables, primarily bunches of plantains that they collect from nearby farms. He currently sells his products at a local market on fair days, but he wants to have his own locale, outside the market, where he can set up a fruit store to sell fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables every day.
He is seeking a loan from Kiva to buy plantains, boxes of apples, tomatoes, and oranges. He will also invest in fruit display stands, shelving, crates, and other supplies to gradually equip his shop. Leoncio and his wife also hope to make some improvements to their little house so they can live comfortably for as long as God allows.
