Okello is 45 years old. He is married and has five children, four of whom are currently in school. Okello has a hardware shop, which he has run for five years.
To help expand his business, Okello has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from Kiva partner, BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more hardware materials for resale. With the help of his loan from BRAC, Okello hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children. In the future, he hopes to expand his business into a bigger shop.
