Mwanatumu is a married woman with four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past four years, she has operated a food stall business, selling retail and from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of price fluctuation in her business. Mwanatumu dreams of expanding and establishing a restaurant in the future.
With the Kshs 40,000 she wants to purchase potatoes, bundles of wheat flour, maize flour and green grocery items. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
