Hadija is a married woman with eight children, two of whom attend school. She owns a house that has no electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past 15 years, Hadija has operated a business selling fish from home to neighbors and passersby. Her major challenge is seasonality. During the hot, dry season, it becomes difficult to get supplies of fish for sale. Hadija dreams of expanding and establishing a retail shop in the future.
Hadija plans to use this KES 20,000 loan to purchase 4 sacks of fish for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
