Mrs. Sok Khom Hain, age 45, was married in 1998 and has three sons. She has been in the business of growing, purchasing, and reselling vegetables since 1997. She grows vegetables on her farmland in the village, purchases some vegetables from nearby villagers, and resells to wholesalers at Deum Kor market. Her husband, Mr. Visal Chab, is currently in the business of purchasing vegetables from farmers in Kampong Cham province and transporting those vegetables with his small truck to sell in the market in Phnom Penh. He also assists his wife in growing vegetables in the village. Their young children are studying, but they also help their parents when they are off from school.

Sok Khom is requesting a loan from MAXIMA for the second time, in the amount of $800. She will use this money, added to money she has, to buy a small truck for her husband that will be better for transporting the vegetables.
