The eight members of the BENKADI 3 group are married women. They have an average age of 31 and on average, four children. They live in polygamous families in N’gona, a village situated about 40 km from the town of NIENA, Sikasso region, third administrative region of Mali.

These clients are on their fifth seasonal loan with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso, aiming to satisfy their average production and agricultural entrants needs. Their prior loans have been satisfactorily reimbursed.

This group of women grow maize, rice, peanuts, okra, sugar peas, sesame seed, etc.

MINATA intends to use her loan to buy one sack of urea (fertilizer), two sacks of cereal-complex, and use the rest of the loan for plowing and weeding costs. She expects to make an average profit of 10,000 F CFA which will be used for everyday expenses of her family.

Les 8 membres du groupe BENKADI 3 sont des femmes mariées. Elles ont une moyenne d’âge de 31 ans, et ont en moyenne 4 enfants. EIles vivent dans des familles polygames à N’gona, un situé à environ 40 km de la ville de NIENA région de Sikasso, 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Ces clientes sont à leur cinquième cycle de prêt de campagne avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin en moyen de production et intrant agricole. Les prêts antérieurs ont été remboursés avec satisfaction.
Ce groupe de femme fait la culture du maïs, du riz, d’arachide, de gombo, du pois sucré, du sésames etc.
MINATA compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter, 1 sac d’urée, 2 sacs de complexe céréale et le reste comme frais de labour et de sarclage. Il envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 10.000 FCFA qui sera utilisé pour les dépenses quotidiennes de la famille.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
