Ramzana's Group
In this Group: Ramzana, Nusrat, Arshad, Waziran
I am Ramzana B. and and I am a mother of nine. I live with my family in a small town: Depalpur, Pakistan. Currently, two of my kids are married and live separately while seven live with me. My husband prepares and sells snacks; I also help him in preparing the snacks. Last year, we took a loan for this business and it turned into better results and enabled us to construct our house. Now, we need a loan to buy potatoes and other stuff that are required to prepare these snacks in bulk. I plan to save money for my son’s marriage.

My group members are: Nusrat B. who needs a loan for her husband’s rickshaw repairing; Arshad B., wife of Taj Ali, who needs a loan for their scrap business; Waziran B. plans to invest their loan in their tyre business. I want to get all of them loans so that they can improve their incomes and can feed their children better. All of us together have acquired loans earlier and accept responsibility for each other.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
