Getrude is a married woman with 8 children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past 4 years, she has operated a goat-meat-selling business. She sells via wholesale to butcher shop operators in the area. Getrude faces a major challenge of seasonality and delayed payments by those who purchase goods on credit. She dreams of establishing a slaughterhouse in the future.
With the KSHS 80,000 loan, she wants to purchase goats. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
