The women of this committee are from the Yhakarosa zone of Caacupe city. They are active women who are motivated to work hard and improve their lives.

The women are thankful for the Paraguaya Foundation because thanks to previous loans and regular trainings they have received they have learned to save money, grow their businesses, and provide for their families.

Mrs. Juana is the treasurer of the committee. She is an energetic woman and she always looks for ways to encourage her fellow members to work hard. She owns a farm where she raises a variety of animals and grows vegetables. She lives with her son who helps her with the farm. She applied for a loan to purchase agricultural supplies like fertilizer, seeds, and pesticides because there has been an increased demand for vegetables and she hopes to provide enough produce for her clients. The committee has been working with the foundation for between three and four years.

About Fundación Paraguaya

Fundación Paraguaya is a financially self-sustaining social enterprise that promotes entrepreneurship in urban and rural areas through microfinance, education programs, and more. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
