The committe named, "Rosa Mistica" (Mystic Rose), in honor of the virgen Mary who is the patron saint of the group. All of the members are women who have had to give up a lot but wish to get ahead alongside their families and have a better quality of life that can allow them to live with dignity. Guillermina is one of the most active members of the group; she sells fruits at a rented location because she has been unable to obtain her own spot.
She dedicates herself to this business since it has helped her economically support her family. Fruit is a product of daily consumption which is why her customer base is increasing. Her current challenge is that she has not been able to fulfill her client's demand which is why she is requesting the loan, in order to purchase fruit in greater quantities and sell them to the customers she supplies.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
