Celia is married and she helps her husband with their household expenses and the expenses of their 16 and 15 year-old daughters. Celia has provided her children with a good education and she continues to support her two daughters. She says that they want to study and she would like to support them until they achieve their goals. Celia will use this loan to invest in merchandise. She will re-stock her store with many items so that her customers can find everything they need and see that it is a good business.

Este prestamo lo utilizará para invertir en mercancia y llenar D. nuevo su tienda con muchos articulos para que sus clientes encuentren todo lo que necesitan y vean que es un buen negocio.

CrediComun is dedicated to providing loans to groups of women in rural areas in Mexico, and is beginning to lend to individuals as well. One of its newest branch offices is in Ciudad Neza, a poor suburb on the outskirts of Mexico City. This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
