The group Las Cien Flores is made up of three hard-working and enterprising people. One of them is Ana Lorena. She is 26 years old and has been selling tortillas for six years. She started with 1/2 quintal [1 quintal = 100 lbs] of corn. Now she purchases a quintal of corn daily for the production of her tortillas. She has three children ages 10 and 9 and a 5 month old baby. She will use the loan to buy corn, firewood and lime.

The other members are Marina del Carmen who is 39 years old and recycles for a living. She buys diposable containers and sells them to a recycling center. Aide Mariele is 34 years old. For 8 years she has been running a popular fritanga [a restaurant that specializes in home cooked Nicaraguan foods] that serves fried foods and soft drinks.

El grupo Las Cien Flores lo conforman tres personas trabajadoras y emprendedoras una de ellas es Ana Lorena de 26 años quien se dedica a la venta de tortillas desde hace seis años inicio con ½ quintal de maíz actualmente compra un quintal de maíz diario para la producción de tortilla.
Ella tiene tres hijos de 10 y 9 años y un bebe de 5 meses. Ella invertirá el crédito en maíz, leña y cal.
Las otras integrantes son Marina del Carmen de 39 años quien se dedica a reciclar ella compra las pichingas y las lleva a vender a un centro de reciclaje y Aide Mariela de 34 años tiene una fritanga restaurante popular a base de comida frita y refresco desde hace 8 años.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
