Mussarat's Group
In this Group: Mussarat, Zarina, Sughran, Salma, Asiah
I was born in Gujranwala, a mid-size town in Pakistan but moved to a small town, Kasur, with my husband after my marriage. I have seven kids: two daughters and five sons. My husband is a daily wage laborer and I work as a maid in several houses. One of my sons drives a rickshaw (local three-wheeled taxi) and now he needs to buy a new one because the old one is in very bad condition and needs to be replaced. Therefore, we require a loan.

My other group members who are in need of loans are: Zarina B. who needs a loan for their embroidery business; Sughran S. whose husband runs a bakery and needs to expand it; Salma B. whose husband has a food stall and needs a loan as capital to invest in it; and Asiah B. whose husband makes and supplies a local type of chips and needs a loan for this business.

All these women are my friends and are very responsible in their dealings. I assure you we all will return your loans on time without delays.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
