The Kiva borrower is a 25-year-old single man living with his parents and five siblings. He is from Lebanon. He has owned a small car repair shop since 2002. He specializes in repairing vehicle bodies. His business income is very important because he helps his father paying their heavy living expenses. This talented young man was able to gain a good number of clients asking for his repair services. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional developed tools needed for his business. In the future, he is planning to open a bigger store to buy and sell car spare parts.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
