Luz Velsa
Luz is a member of the Communal Bank “Imasumacc”. She is 48 years old, divorced, and has four children (ages 31, 23, 19, and 14). Luz has a business selling groceries. The loan she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of rice, sugar, noodles, and other products so that she can restock her store.

Luz joined FINCA Peru three years ago after being invited by another member. She enjoys being part of the group because the other women have helped her with the loans, taught her how to work, and showed her how to save. With one of her loans, she was able to buy a car for her work. Now she is saving so that she can maintain her home, which has been affected by the constant rains in Ayacucho. Her dreams include seeing her business continue to prosper and proceeding with the construction of her house.
