The eight members of the group SÉRIEUX are all married, and they average 30 years of age and three children each. The women live for the most part in polygamous families in BOUGOULA HAMEAU, a village in Sikasso (3rd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). These group members are on their fifth collaboration with the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso in order to satisfy the needs of their customers. The past loans have all been repaid nicely.  

This group of women does commerce in pagnes (colorful West African cloth) in the case of KARI, who intends to use her loan to buy 100 lengths of Wax pagnes. She gets her supplies at the main market of Medine. Accepting cash, she makes her sales at the BOUGOULA HAMEAU market and at the house. Her customer base is composed of women and men.

KARI plans on making an average monthly profit of 120,000 francs CFA that will be used for day-to-day family expenses and for reinvesting in the business. Her ambition is to increase her turnover, so as to satisfy her customers further.

Les huit membres du groupe SÉRIEUX sont toutes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 30 ans, et ont en moyenne 3 enfants. Elles vivent la plupart dans des familles polygames à BOUGOULA HAMEAU un des villages de Sikasso 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles sont à leur cinquième collaboration avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin de leur clientèle, les prêts passés ont été remboursé dans de bonne condition. Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce de tissus et de pagnes avec KARI, qui compte acheter avec son prêt, 100 pagnes wax. Elle s’approvisionne au grand marché de MEDINE et effectue sa vente au marché de BOUGOULA HAMEAU et en famille à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes, au comptant.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 120.000FCFA, qu’elle utilisera pour les dépenses quotidiennes de la famille et réinvestir dans les affaires.
Elle ambitionne d’augmenter son chiffre d’affaire pour mieux satisfaire sa clientèle.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
