Boli, 57 years old man is a retired teacher. His wife, Tri, 52 years old, is still working as a teacher. Boli has one son named Octovianus, 21 years old, who is currently studying in university. As a retired teacher, he definitely does not receive as much money as when he was still teaching, whereas the cost of his son’s education is quite high; he has to pay IDR 1,200,000 per semester. To overcome this problem, he established a chicken-breeding business which has been running for three years. He had 300 chicks to raise in his chicken pen but many died due to the poor, small cage. Some died because they were trampled by other chickens. He desires to improve his business in order to generate better income. To accommodate up to 500 chickens, he has to renovate the cage so he submitted a loan application to TLM for IDR 4,000,000. He plans to buy building materials to renovate the cage and to buy 8 boxes of chicks.
