The group was formed by the village leader of Pemuteran village, Singaraja, North Bali, with 10 members. All members are farmers; most of their time is spent in the garden. They even make a simple shack to live in the garden to keep the corn and bean crops they planted from wild animals.

As an additional effort, they have formed a group of pig farmers. Wayan is one of its members. She got a loan of Rp. 1,000,000 to be used to buy four piglets that will be sold every 3 months. Because of living in the garden, she feeds the pigs with different types of leaves.

Every 3 months, buyers will come to the garden to buy a pig. Per pig, she gets a net profit of Rp. 150,000. All profits are used to support the education of her child who is currently in 5th grade of elementary school.
