The 'Visión hacia el Futuro' (Looking to the Future) community bank is made up of three hard-working, entrepreneurial people. One of them is Bety, the group coordinator. This 42 year-old lady has been working as a teacher since 1980. Three years ago, she set up a pre-school which has been gradually growing.

Bety will use her loan to buy chairs, tables, educational games and materials that she needs for her classes.

The other two members of the group are 30 year-old Lisbeth Carina who sells used clothes, shoes and toys, and 30 year-old Carol who sells clothes and shoes.

El grupo Visión hacia el Futuro lo conforman tres personas trabajadoras y emprendedora una de ellas es Bety coordinadora del grupo. Esta señora de 42 años desde 1980 se ha desempeñado como maestra y hace tres años inicio un preescolar que poco a poco con lo que los padres dan ha ido creciendo.

Ella con el crédito comprará sillas, mesas, juegos didácticos, libros y materiales que necita para las clases.

Las otras dos integrantes son Lisbeth Carina de 30 años quien se dedica a la venta de ropas, zapatos y juguetes usados, y Carol de 30 años comercializa ropa y zapatos.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
