Ivan is married and has two daughters and a son. He lives in the small town of Maliye Kopani. Ivan is a farmer. He grows early spring vegetables and has 5,000 tomato, 40,000 pepper, and 50,000 strawberry plants in addition to 3 tons of radish. Ivan has been working in agriculture for 20 years. He has invested about 200,000 Grivnyas in this business.
Ivan is seeking a loan of 15,000 Grivnyas to repair his greenhouses and to install a drip irrigation system. The irrigation system will cost him 2,000 Grivnyas. He also needs to purchase seeds for 2,000 Grivnyas, farming fiber for 6,000 Grivnyas, fertilizers for 4,000 Grivnyas, as well as gasoline and oil for 1,000 Grivnyas. Ivan is hoping to meet customer demand this season and increase his income as a result.
