Edward is a single man who lives in a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food, rent, and clothing.
For the past 3 years, he has been operating a vending business, selling sweets, biscuits and groundnuts from door to door. His potential customers are passersby and neighboring community members. Edward faces a major challenge of competition from other vendors in the village. He dreams of expanding his business and purchasing a tuk tuk for the business.
With the loan for Kshs 20,000, Edward wants to purchase packets of sweets and biscuits to resell. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
