Zurab
Zurab is a 56-year-old school teacher from village Tolebi, West Georgia. He lives with his wife Neli and his mother. Neli is a professional accountant. Along with their main professions, both of them are involved in agricultural activities. In particular, Zurab and Neli own two milk cows and sell approximately 40 kg of traditional Georgian cheese on the local market. Also the family has 1.2 ha plot where maize is grown. Each year they harvest 4 tons of grain, one of which is sold locally. The rest is used in the dairy farm.

With part of the requested credit, Zurab will till and fertilize the land. Afterwards he will sow maize. Zurab and Neli hope that after fertilizing, they will receive approximately 5 tons of maize and sell two of them. That will increase the income of the family. The other part of the loan will be used for covering some costs related to the wedding of Zurab and Neli’s son.

In the future Zurab and Neli plan to purchase more milk cows for expansion of the dairy farm.
