Juvy is from the village of Jampason, Initao, Misamis Oriental. She is 37 years old and married with one school-aged child. To make a living, Juvy owns a business making and selling honey from beehives extracted in her local community. Juvy has been engaged in her business for over 5 years and earns approximately 8000 PHP a month.
In 2010, Juvy joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 7000 PHP from HSPFI and is requesting a new loan of 7000 PHP which will be used to purchase raw ingredients needed like sugar and honey. This will be the second loan taken out by Juvy from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
