Samuel
Samuel, 49, has lived with Daria for the last 26 years. They have four children but only two of them live with him in his own house located in Huandunga, Palca. For over 28 years he’s farmed potatoes, peas, corn and broad beans on his 3 hectares of farmland. He also mentions that thanks to owning a car he provides taxi services along the Talca-Palca route to earn extra income for his family. He’s done very well since then so much so that not long ago he had two cars that he worked with but, unfortunately, he had some losses with his pea crops and had to sell one of the cars.

“I’ll never stop farming; it’s my life,” he affirms, because he enjoys this activity very much. He wants to intensify it in order to increase production.

This is his first loan with MFP where he feels very satisfied with the support because it will change his quality of life.

The roof on Samuel’s house has holes in it that let water in. Because of this he’ll use the loan to reroof his house as well as install doors and windows on the rooms which are 20 years old.
