Agustin is a milk farmer and he also works as a construction contractor. His wife helps her with the agricultural activities. These businesses are their primary source of income. He requires the loan to purchase a dairy cow to improve their earnings. He lives in a house which he owns and it is located in the community of Achacachi in the department of La Paz. He is married and he has three children. With his previous loan he was able to increase his herd, for which is very satisfied. He now plans on improving significantly his quality of life and that of his family.
El señor Agustín es productor lechero y también desempeña el trabajo de albañil y su esposa lo ayuda con las actividades agrícolas. Estas actividades son su principal fuente de ingresos. El crédito lo requiere para la compra de una vaca lechera para mejorar sus ingresos. Vive en casa propia ubicada en la localidad de Achacachi del departamento de La Paz; es casado y tiene tres hijos. EL cliente con el crédito anterior pudo aumentar el ganado que tenia por lo cual se encuentra muy satisfecho y ahora pretende mejorar mucho más su calidad de vida y la de su familia.
IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.
To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
