Nery is the coordinator of her group, Dios Provee 1 & 2. She lives in the city of La Romana, where the sugar cane harvest and tourist industry dominate the economy.

Nery has been working for almost one year. She started her business with her first Esperanza loan, after the program went to her community and some neighbors joined. She had sold animals for a long time, helping her husband. Now Nery has her own business selling goats. She buys them as infants and raises them. She also buys adult goats to sell the meat. Nery is requesting a loan, which she will use to purchase a dozen goats.

Nery lives with her two children and their father. Her most difficult challenges are to have an improved business, enough money to buy a car, and to reinvest in her business for a prosperous living. Thank you for your support!.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
