Svetlana is married with a 23-year-old daughter. She and her family live in Izyum. Svetlana works in the Kolkhoznyi market near the train station. She sells fresh pork meat which is always in demand, as Ukrainian cuisine is famous for its delicious pork dishes. Svetlana has been in this business for 20 years. After being unemployed for quite awhile, she was looking for job opportunities and decided to start her own business selling pork meat in the local market. Svetlana knows how hard it is to earn the money. She puts in many long hours to get the job done and make sure her business achieves its full potential. She realizes this business is very competitive but is ready to make the effort to succeed and come out on top. She admits she has benefited a lot from the financial assistance she has received through Nadiya Ukraine. Presently, her net profit from her business is about $600-1000 per month.
Today Svetlana is requesting a loan of $1200 to purchase more pigs to sell.
