Alexander comes from the village of Rodinauli, West Georgia. He is 40 years old and married. Alexander lives with his wife Vera, his parents and their two sons – 12 and 10 years old. Both of children go to school.
Alexander works in a local asphalt factory. Also he is actively involved in the family's agricultural activities, which are led by Vera. The family has a small dairy farm, consisting of two cows. Vera produces cheese and sells it locally. Also, they own 1.25 ha of agricultural land where greens and vegetables are grown. Harvested products are sold to retailers of greens and vegetables.
Alexander requested the credit for installation of the irrigation system in his farm. When the system is in place, the harvest of the family will increase and this will positively impact the income of the family. Alexander and Vera hope that they will have a good harvest and will be able to reinvest a part of the profit in farming activities.
