Conrado G. is from the village of Dinas, Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. He is 45 years old. Conrado is married and has three adult-aged children. To make a living, Conrado owns & operates a pedicab transport service. Conrado has been engaged in his business for over 15 years and earns approximately 2,500 PHP a month for these activities.
In 2011, Conrado joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Conrado is requesting a new loan of 25,000 PHP to purchase a new motorcycle for transport services. This loan will be the first loan taken out by Conrado from GDMPC. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand his business.
GDMPC is one of the most progressive cooperatives in Mindanao, Philippines. It has seven branches covering the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur, Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental. Its membership is composed mostly of farmers, fisherfolks and small entrepreneurs.
