The communal bank "Kantutas de Canuma" will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer (Kiva Field Partner) as part of Centro Villa Exaltacion. It is made up of twelve members and it is managed by a board of directors, led by Mrs. Remedios. The businesses held by the members of the communal bank are various, and among them we have: vegetables sales, community store, raising livestock, sweets sales in a school, shoes sales, janitorial services, sewing services, raising cattle, prepared foods sales.

Mrs. Remedios indicates that is the first time she has joined Pro Mujer and she is a member following an invitation for a neighbor. She currently has a cattle sales business and she has had it for five months.

The loan will be used to purchase a cow. She will purchase it in the community of Vilacota in the municipality of Achocalla. Once the cattle can be sold she will take them to the fairs at Achocalla. She comments that she has this business together with her husband. This type of business helps her generate an income to help her family as much as possible. She is married and she has ten children.

When she was asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she said that she enjoys the savings and the low interest rates.

La A.C. “KANTUTAS DE CAÑUMA” iniciará su primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Villa Exaltación, está compuesta por doce integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva encabezada por la señora Remedios. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: Venta de verduras, tienda de barrio, cría de animales, venta de dulces en colegio, venta de tenis, empleada domestica, costura, cría de ganado, pensión venta de salchipapa.

La señora Remedios, indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer y que participa gracias a la invitación de unas vecinas. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio venta de ganado que lo esta trabajando hace cinco meses.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para la compra de ganado vacuno, que comprara de la comunidad de Vilacota del municipio de Achocalla. Cuando este ganado ya pueda ser comercializado lo venderá en las ferias de Achocalla. También comenta que este negocio lo realiza con el apoya de su esposo. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar en lo posible a su familia, pues ella es casada y tiene diez hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el ahorro y las tasas de intereses bajas.
