She a resident of Kitale area in Western Kenya and has been farming for three years producing eggs and selling to the local market. She employs three farmhands. Alice is requesting her second loan from Juhudi Kilimo for 60,000 KES, which she will use to expand her poultry business. Her first loan for 30,000 KES helped her establish her farm. Alice notes that poultry diseases are a great challenge but is optimistic that they are manageable.
