Esperanza
Esperanza is a single woman who is 48 years old. She owns her own home and it is equipped with water. It is located in the new village (a group of homes that is growing but in the outskirts of the city) of Nueva Arica. It is a few minutes from the district of Chiclayo. It is a district known for its principal business activities of commerce, tourism, and agriculture.

Esperanza has been carrying out agricultural activities for more than 10 years. She cultivates corn on her fields and it is a healthy and delicious food that is consumed daily by the population. She sells in the market of Moshoqueque in Chiclayo. She sells in wholesale and in retail with the only goal of increasing her income.

Esperanza requests a loan in the amount of 3000 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa (Kiva Field Partner) to purchase materials used to cultivate her fields (fertilizers). She will improve her fields and she will have a better yield of corn (producing corn on the cob). It is later sold for the consumption of the population. The sale of corn wil improve her quality of life.

Esperanza is known by people who carry out the same business. But they are surprised because eventhough it is a business that is normally handled by men, she manages it with hard work and with dedication. Her goal is to advance in life and to have what she needs.

Esperanza es una mujer soltera de 48 años de edad, tiene casa propia con servicios de agua y en el pueblo jovén (conjunto de viviendas en expansión, pero en las afueras de una ciudad) de Nueva Arica,ubicado a unos minutos del distrito de Chiclayo. Es un distrito que se caracteriza por que su principal actividad de sus pobladores es la actividad comercial, turística y agricola.

Esperanza se dedica hace más de 10 años a las labores agricolas, en sus chacaras o tierras cultiva maíz, que es un alimento sano y rico para el consumo diario de los pobladores y comercializa en elmercado Moshoqueque de Chiclayo, vendiendolo al por mayor y menor,con la finalidad de aumentar sus ingresos.

Esperanza a solicitado un préstamo de 3000 nuevos soles a Edpyme Alternativa para la compra de insumos para cultivar sus terrenos (fertilizantes) para mejorar sus tierras y tenga una mejor cosecha de maíz (da comofruto el choclo), el cual posteriormente será vendido para el consumo de los pobladores. La venta de su maíz mejorará su claidad de vida.

Esperanza es conocida por los personas que también se dedican a esa actividad, por eso se sorprenden porque a pesar de ser un trabajo que lo desarrollan los hombres, ella lo realiza con esfuerzo y empeño, con la finalidad de mejorar en la vida y tener lo que necesite.
