A loan of $725 helped to buy barnyard fowl and nutritionally balanced feed.

Julia's story

Julia, 31, is a mother living with her three children and husband in her own house that has basic utilities, water and electricity, built with insubstantial materials and located in the Virgen La Purísima hamlet which belongs to Lambayeque Department. This district is characterized by the commercial, agricultural and cattle raising activities its residents engage in.

Julia raises barnyard fowl (chickens, ducks and turkeys); she’s been in business for about 6 years. Her business is home-based; the corral is in her back yard. Once the birds reach ideal size and weight she sells them in Lambayeque’s market. Julia tries to have a better life with this business.

It’s through a visit to Edpyme Alternativa that Julia tries to acquire a 2000 new sol loan to buy more barnyard fowl to raise as well as nutritionally balanced feed for them so that they will develop with better quality and sales will be successful and she will be able to cover her loan payments problem free.

Julia is known by her neighbors to be a responsible, hard working woman who, like all mothers, wants her family to progress, especially her children.
