Stella is a divorced woman with four children, two of whom have graduated from school while two still attend school. She lives in her own house, which has no electricity or piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past ten years, Stella has operated a vegetable stall business, selling at the market to her neighbors and passers-by. Stella faces the major challenges of the high cost of products and high transportation costs in her business. She dreams of establishing a retail shop in the future.
With the loan of 40,000 KES she is requesting, Stella wants to purchase sacks of green vegetables and fruits for resale. She decided to join Kiva partner, Yehu, to access loans to boost her business.
