She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband. Her husband will utilize the loan money in buying milk in larger quantity for selling. His shop is located near his home and he makes good sales every month due to the good quality of milk he provides to his customers.
He started this business two years ago and it is providing him regular profits. Zubaida is confident that an investment will give more profit to her husband because then he will be able to fulfill the demand of many other customers and make them his regular customers as well.
Zubaida is a caring lady who carries out her responsibilities as a housewife and also supports her husband financially by weaving carpets. She learnt this skill from her mother and is now transferring this skill to her eldest daughter who is 18 years old and also works with her to complete the orders on time.
Zubaida has given birth to three daughters and a son. Two of her children are enrolled in a local school and getting their education.
She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 2nd loan application. In previous loan year, she has proved herself as a responsible client by paying her installments on time and by attending every meeting.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
