Danilo Esteban
Danilo is a determined young man who decided to set up his own business one year ago after having lived through a family tragedy in the mine where he and his father both worked. He promised himself that he would not go back to the mine after having seen his father die there. Danilo is an entrepreneur and he dreams of owning a store which will become well known by many people in the town where he lives, in Antioquia department. He dreams of turning his business into a legacy that he will leave to his family to be handed down generation to generation.

Danilo works five days a week with a lot of determination. He likes to serve his customers well and to constantly have his business stocked so that his customers can always find what they need. Danilo would currently like to expand his small business and would like to invest capital which will allow him to buy more merchandise. However, he doesn't have enough capital to achieve his goals. In this way, he would like to broaden the reach of his store, attract more customers, increase his sales and make more profits.

Danilo es un joven luchador que desde hace un año decidió montar su propio negocio después de haber vivido una tragedia familiar en la mina donde él y su padre trabajaban, y donde prometió no volver después de haber visto a su padre morir en este mismo lugar. Danilo es emprendedor y sueña con tener un almacén que sea reconocido por muchas personas en el municipio donde él vive ubicado en el departamento de Antioquia, convirtiéndolo en un legado que le dejará a su familia generación tras generación.

Danilo trabaja 5 días a la semana con mucho empeño, le gusta atender bien a sus clientes y tener constantemente el negocio surtido para que sus clientes siempre encuentren lo que necesitan. Actualmente Danilo quiere ampliar de cierta manera su microempresa por lo que quiere invertir un capital que le permita comprar mercancía a su negocio, pero no cuenta con el capital suficiente para cumplir sus metas, quiere así brindarle proyección al almacén, atraer más clientes e incrementar las ventas, igualmente generar mayores utilidades.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
