Ronald M. S. is 38 years old, widowed and has 2 children ages 13 and 6 years old, whom he hopes to give good education to the university level.
Ronald is a charcoal dealer in Mombasa. Mombasa is along the coastal region of Kenya and is well known for its many tourist attraction sites, particularly the Indian ocean white beaches. Ronald has been selling charcoal for the last 2 years to the local people and has managed to give employment to 2 people. He says that this business is profitable, but the major challenge he has is there are so many people in the same kind of business as his in the area, so customers are spoiled for choice. However, he works very hard to keep his business doing well. He is using his loan of 50,000 KES to buy more charcoal to expand his business. He hopes to grow his business and start supplying gas in the future. He describes himself as a visionary man.
