Beglar K. is a farmer from the village of Mirashkhani in the Aspindza district. He is 44 years old and married. Beglar and Naziko, his wife, have two adult children. Their son is 17 years old and their daughter is 14 years. Naziko is a person with physical disabilities and receives financial assistance (70 Laris per month) from the government.

Except for the pension, the only source of income for the family is agricultural activities. In particular, Beglar has two milk cows and five calves. He sells dairy products as well as calves locally. The family also owns a 0.5 hectare of agricultural land where they grow potatoes. The potatoes are also sold locally.

Beglar requested a loan to purchase potatoes for seeding. He will work hard the whole season and hopes that he gets a good harvest. Part of the received profit after the harvest season will be invested in the dairy farm and additional milk cows will be purchased. It will result in increased sales of dairy products and more income for the family.
